Device Pitstop of Newport News is searching for a technician with experience repairing phones, tablets and customer service skills. DESCRIPTION: 

Device Pitstop is a national franchise with a locally owned store now open in Newport News, VA. We buy, sell, trade and service laptops, tablets, mobile phones and other devices. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are self-motivated, responsible, and have the initiative to make the most of a career in the consumer electronics field.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Be able to troubleshoot, test, and diagnose mobile devices and other electronic devices. 
2. Replace the glass and/or LCD on an iPhone or Android phone.
3. Be able to fix and repair both hardware and software issue on personal computers and devices from Windows 7 to Windows 10. 
4. Assist customers in finding products to fill their need.

Qualifications

1. Experience repairing computers: hardware & software
2. Experience repairing smartphones and tablets.
3. Technical aptitude and interest in current technology trends.
4. Interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and assist customers.
5. Strong attention to detail.
6. Able to pass background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
2. Lifting to 40 lbs. without assistance.
3. Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and stocking merchandise.
