Poquoson City Public Schools Part time- 2 hours per day, 11:00am to 1:00pm Salary- $15 per hour

Job Description

Title: Cafeteria Monitor This position is ___ exempt or _X_ non-exempt

Primary Function: Monitor students and maintain discipline during lunch periods

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work well with staff and students
• Ability to follow instructions of superiors
• Ability to intervene appropriately when conflicts arise between/among students
• Sufficient strength, agility, and dexterity required to perform all performance responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to communicate well with others in a pleasant and effective manner

Performance Responsibilities

• Monitor for behavior problems
• Perform other duties as assigned by Principal

Terms of Employment

Compensation according to School Board Pay Plan – approximately 169 days

Reports To: School Principal

Evaluation: Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with School Board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of non-licensed personnel.
