Security Guard – RCSU / 23-Hour Stabilization CenterPosition SummaryThe Security Guard supports safety and operations at a crisis stabilization facility by controlling access, monitoring the environment, assisting with intake flow, and supporting staff during non-clinical incidents. This is a non-clinical role and does not involve assessments, admission decisions, or therapeutic services.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Access ControlMonitor and control entry and exit to the facilityEnforce visitor sign-in/sign-out and ID requirementsMonitor security cameras and conduct routine safety checksMaintain a calm, professional front-of-house environmentIntake & Front Desk Support (Non-Clinical)Greet walk-ins and ensure required sign-in procedures are followedRequest and collect photo ID and insurance cards (no eligibility determinations)Secure personal belongings according to policyNotify intake staff or leadership of arrivals and delaysDe-Escalation & Incident SupportUse approved verbal de-escalation techniquesSupport staff during agitation or conflict until clinical staff interveneFollow escalation and chain-of-command proceduresContact emergency services only as directed by protocolCommunication & CoordinationAnswer and route incoming phone callsActivate on-call staff as needed during evenings or after hoursCoordinate approved transportation for discharges or transfers when assignedDocumentationComplete incident reports for safety issues, walk-ins, refusals, and escalationsSubmit documentation before the end of shiftQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior security, healthcare, or behavioral health experience preferredStrong communication and situational awareness skillsAbility to remain calm and professional in high-stress situationsMust pass required background and fingerprint checks#J-18808-Ljbffr
