Sentara is hiring for an Inventory Control Specialist IThis a full-time position, with rotating shifts, fully onsite and offers great benefits!OverviewAn Inventory Control Specialist I establishes and maintains supply PAR levels, conducts stock analysis for all warehouse and vendor direct purchases. Performs physical inventory, analyzes daily usage in comparison to levels and balance quantities with needs of the department. Monitors cleanliness and sterility of environment. Coordinates daily operations for supply maintenance and availability. Some departments may require equipment cleaning.The Inventory Control Specialist III operates within the hospital supply chain domain, providing oversight and stewardship of inventory systems that support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted patient care. The role contributes to the integrity, visibility, and alignment of inventory resources with clinical demand, ensuring that essential medical supplies are consistently available while balancing cost, utilization, and risk.This position serves as a subject matter expert in inventory governance, advancing standardization, accuracy, and accountability across inventory environments. It reinforces organizational priorities related to quality, regulatory compliance, and resource optimization by establishing and sustaining consistent inventory control frameworks. Through a systems-level perspective, the role connects supply chain strategy with clinical operations, supporting continuity of care and operational resilience.The Inventory Control Specialist III also plays a key role in shaping inventory-related decision-making by maintaining a strong focus on data integrity, trend awareness, and performance outcomes. It supports the organization's ability to adapt to evolving demands by promoting scalable, sustainable inventory practices that align with broader financial, operational, and patient care objectives.EducationHS - High School Grad or EquivalentExperience3 years of related experience requiredBasic Excel proficiency, including working with existing pivot tables (refreshing, filtering, adjusting fields).Familiarity with Power Query (Preferred)Ability to follow documented steps to refresh and validate reportsCritical thinking, analytical thinking.3 years Purchasing/Buyer experience preferred.Supply Chain Healthcare experience highly desired.#J-18808-Ljbffr
