About Spivey ServicesSpivey Services is a leading provider of traffic safety and sanitation services in Virginia, offering traffic control, equipment rentals, and portable sanitation services—including restroom/shower trailers, hand-wash stations, and toilet accessories.Position SummaryThe Yard Assistant is responsible for supporting daily yard and shop operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This role includes loading and unloading materials, cleaning equipment and facilities, and assisting with general labor tasks as needed. While driving is not required, it is considered a plus.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard, shop, and surrounding areasPerform repairs and basic maintenance on portable toilets, handwashing stations, other company equipment, and load/unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areasWash, sanitize, and prepare portable toilets for deployment according to company standards; perform general cleanup duties around the shop and lot, including debris removal and equipment stagingAssist with periodic washing, detailing, and general cleaning of company trucks, trailers, and equipmentSupport yard staff and field teams by preparing, organizing or locating materials and equipment as requestedAssist with basic inventory organization, including restocking commonly used items and keeping materials neatly arranged.Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environmentPerform all other duties as requiredQualificationsAbility to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periodsGood with tools and understanding of repair manualsStrong attention to detail and cleanlinessAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDriving experience is a plus but not requiredPrior yard, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred but not mandatoryWhat We OfferWeekly Pay Every FridayReferral BonusesPaid Holidays after 6 monthsPaid Time-Off (Vacation and Sick)Health, HSA, Dental, & Vision Insurance after 60 daysLife & AD&D, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability after 60 days401(k) with Company Match: Eligibility after 3 months; age 18+#J-18808-Ljbffr
