Non-Certified Officers are eligible for up to $10,000 in sign-on and retention bonuses upon the successful completion of service milestones!
Hourly rate of $29.18 equates to $60,694 annually based on 2080 hours. Additionally, shift differential, overtime pay, holiday pay, generous paid time off and benefits, volunteer pay, retirement plans, and promotion opportunities, etc. offered. The Port of Virginia does not participate in VRS.

The Virginia Port Authority (VPA) is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The VPA owns and through its private operating subsidiary, Virginia International Terminals, LLC (VIT), operates four general cargo facilities Norfolk International Terminals, Portsmouth Marine Terminal, Newport News Marine Terminal and the Virginia Inland Port in Warren County. The VPA leases Virginia International Gateway and the Port of Richmond.
The Virginia Port Authority is seeking Police Officers to perform a variety of law enforcement duties such as responding to calls for service, enforcing traffic and criminal laws; and conducting high visibility patrols on our marine terminals.

Education
High School education or GED equivalent. Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Law Enforcement Certification, valid State of Virginia driver's license, and CPR Certification required.
