Job Details

Under general supervision, assists with Suffolk Division of Tourism operations to include the visitor center, railroad museum, farmers' market, and events as needed. Work involves greeting and assisting visitors, answering visitor inquiries, tracking inventory, assisting with special events, and obtaining and distributing brochures and tourism-related information. Applicant should have knowledge of Suffolk and Virginia offerings. This position requires scheduling that includes weekends, holidays, some early mornings or evenings. Schedule varies 816 hours weekly based on workload demands. Reports to the Tourism Development Manager.
