The City of Norfolk's Department of Public Works is currently seeking a Utility Maintenance Mechanic I, an essential position that will assist with the inspection and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical mission critical equipment associated with storm water operations. This position functions as part of a team that inspects and maintains pump stations, portable pumps, electrical systems, and aerators throughout the City. This highly sophisticated equipment is essential to protect Norfolks infrastructure and assets. The Division of Environmental Storm Water Management is tasked with reducing the threat of flooding and improving the water quality within the City of Norfolk.
