*Non-Invasive* *Cardiovascular Technician * *– Maryview Medical Center*
*Job Summary:*
The Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technician provides technical skills in obtaining electrocardiograph tracings, routine exercise stress testing, exercise testing with nuclear medicine, and Holter Monitor application and scanning if applicable in specific Non-Invasive Cardiology department.
*Essential Functions:*
* Gathers relevant personal information from patient's record.
* Prepares and instructs patients on the proper procedures to follow.
* Transports portable electrocardiograph to hospital units and administers electrocardiograms to inpatients, or to out-patients in the lab area.
* Performs stress/nuclear stress tests with treadmill, observing tracings for abnormalities.
* Scans Holter Monitors, observing tracings for abnormalities if applicable.
* Ensures tests results are placed in proper physician reading box for interpretation.
