Salary: $26.20/hour - part-time - 24 hrs/wk - may include weekends

Job Description

LME, VA, is seeking a part-time monitor for rotating shifts to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers. Responsibilities include:

• Front desk and reception area including answering phone.
• Escort within facility.
• Alarm monitor for 24/7 surveillance.
• Operates a security control center by monitoring surveillance, access control, fire alarm, and HVAC systems.
• Monitors access points and equipment.
• Notifies appropriate personnel during events affecting the facility.
• Makes detailed reports of incidents, violations, suspicious circumstances, and unsatisfactory conditions.
• Keeps current on information affecting security operations by reading the standard operating procedures, reports, security policies, memorandums, and emails to stay informed.

Required Skills include:

• Current Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Must be able to sit and walk for long periods of time and withstand any weather conditions.
• Knowledgeable in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education includes:

• High School Diploma.
• 1-2 years of experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
