Role Summary:

The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring that policies, procedures, and operational standards are upheld. Cross training in various departments allows for flexibility and enables the Assistant Manager to inspire and train all Employees. This position has growth potential, allowing progression to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager in all decisions and directives.
  • Foster open communication with staff as a representative of the General Manager.
  • Engage in all theatre functions and assist in various departments.
  • Train and coach Team Members on their specific job roles.
  • Assist in preparing administrative reports for the General Manager.
  • Inspect theatre facilities, equipment, and property, reporting issues to the General Manager.
  • Ensure Team Members adhere to dress code standards.
  • Enhance Guest experiences by promoting superior Customer Service.
  • Adhere to Cinemark's Guidelines and enforce policies consistently.
  • Report Employee relations issues per established protocols.
  • Maintain a high work ethic and code of conduct.
  • Identify and sanitize high-contact areas for Employee and Guest safety.
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment effectively while performing tasks.
  • Proactively address safety or security concerns.
  • Perform additional work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Completion of three basic courses within Cinemark's Management Accreditation Program.
  • Basic food handling training and relevant certifications as required.
  • If handling alcohol, completion of Safe Alcohol Service training is necessary.
  • Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is essential.
  • Energetic and friendly attitude required.
  • Excellent Guest service skills.
  • Strong cash handling and basic math abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting or independently.
  • Capacity to follow directions and respond with urgency.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Capability to train and lead others.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts effectively.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach throughout the theatre.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels.
  • Capacity to remain on your feet for extended periods.
