The City of Virginia Beach is hiring for a Mechanic Technician II (G 22, $49,254 - $76,336) or Mechanic Technician III (G.25, $57,012 - $88,358) - depending on qualifications - to join our Fuels subdivision to inspect and test all fuel storage tanks to ensure regulatory compliance relating to fuel storage tank regulations and hazardous waste and material regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Perform maintenance and repairs to City fuel sites and associated hardware and software, including diagnosing probes, sensors, pumps, dispensers and day tanks. Utilize, monitor, test and troubleshoot Veeder Root (TLS) and Asset. Works Fuel Focus to ensure proper connectivity and functioning to ensure conformance with departmental standards, City policies, vendor's specifications, and industry best practices for monitoring US - Ts.
