In this role, you will lead and execute sophisticated penetration testing initiatives and engage in offensive cybersecurity operations for the U.S. Government and DoD systems. Collaborate with a talented team of Blue Team and cybersecurity professionals to bolster our cyber defense strategies.

Note: This position is contingent upon the award of a contract expected in May 2026.

Required Security Clearance: Must possess an ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance, with the ability to meet the requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is necessary for clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and utilize advanced offensive security tools including Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, and Cobalt Strike.
• Mimic threat actor behavior applying tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Conduct security assessments across various operating systems including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Engage in exploit development and identify zero-day or previously undiscovered vulnerabilities.
• Analyze and remediate vulnerabilities in offensive tools and development methodologies.
• Contribute to development efforts using at least two programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java, Rust, Assembly, C#) for exploit development.

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must hold one or more of the following DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Auditor certifications: CEH, CySA+, CISA, GSNA, CFR, or PenTest+.
• Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification is required.
• One or more of the following certifications is preferred: OSCE, OSEE, or OSWP.

Preferred Experience:

• A decade of professional experience in penetration testing and/or offensive cyber operations, with a focus on tools such as Metasploit and NMAP.
• Proven ability to simulate adversary behavior and conduct thorough adversary emulation.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and Active Directory.
• Experience in exploit development and identifying gaps in current tools and development techniques.
• Proficiency in at least two programming or scripting languages.

Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Compensation: SimVentions offers competitive compensation based on factors such as experience, education, training, security clearance, and skills. The projected annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, reflecting the standard salary for this position as part of a comprehensive compensation package.
