Description:

The Part-Time Educational Consultant for High School Math acts as a vital partner of Savvas Learning Company, inspiring meaningful educational advancements in various districts and schools. In this engaging role, you will be responsible for delivering crucial content, intervention strategies, and tailored professional development to empower teachers and enhance their classroom practices.

Your responsibilities will encompass providing one-on-one and group support to educational personnel, facilitating engaging professional development sessions, and delivering on-site technical assistance to schools associated with Savvas. We are looking for candidates with a profound understanding of educational standards, complemented by extensive experience in delivering high-quality professional development and support through innovative Savvas products and methods.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Over 5 years of successful teaching experience in a high school setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience with Savvas products.
  • Proficiency in coaching, mentoring, and training teachers and educational leaders.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Classroom Components: Effectively utilize program resources, apply key teaching strategies, differentiate instruction, and manage classroom technology to foster student success.
  • Coaching and Modeling: Collaborate with teachers to implement effective instructional strategies tailored to their unique needs.
  • Observation and Feedback: Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to support the implementation of Savvas programs.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize analytics tools to inform instructional practices and adapt to students' evolving needs.
  • Administrator Support: Use Savvas tools to assist administrators in their implementation efforts through constructive feedback and coaching.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree is required; M.A. preferred.
  • Experience in leading workshops or coaching sessions for teachers.
  • Familiarity with classroom technology integration and differentiated instruction methods.
  • Strong abilities in collaboration and team building.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting English Language Learners and students with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of virtual teaching and community outreach initiatives.

Additional Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and reliable attendance and punctuality are key for success in this position.

Travel Requirements: Candidates should be prepared for travel requirements up to 70%, using both air and ground transportation, and must have reliable transportation to effectively fulfill job responsibilities.
