Job Description:

CDM Smith is looking for a dynamic Senior Structural Engineer to join our Industrial team, specializing in large-scale industrial projects that truly make a difference in communities. If you have a strong background in heavy industrial manufacturing and energy/power facilities, we want you!

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, allowing you to balance time in the office with remote work from home.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Create structural analyses and designs for a variety of structures, ensuring they meet client needs and comply with relevant regulations. Review and coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct thorough structural assessments and perform confined space entries as needed.
• Develop technical documentation and resources to contribute to our firm's knowledge base and submit papers for publication.
• Partner with our sales team to craft compelling proposals in response to client needs and regulations.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences and symposia to enhance visibility and partnerships.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and collaboration within the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering. Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• 7 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Equivalent additional experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required depending on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in designing industrial buildings, power plants, and heavy equipment foundations.
• Familiarity with codes and standards such as AISC, ACI, ASCE, and IBC.
• Experience with structural steel design in high seismic areas.

Amount of Travel Required: 5%

Pay Range Minimum: $90,605

Pay Range Maximum: $158,579
