Provide security services for Old Dominion University. Monitor main and satellite campus grounds to ensure staff, students and visitors are safe. Make inspections of designated priority areas on a routine basis. Identify and assist with the investigation of minor or suspicious matters. Type of Recruitment Knowledge, skills and abilities MULTIPLE POSITIONS WILL BE FILLED FROM THIS RECRUITMENT - Basic familiarity with personal computers to include Microsoft Office, Outlook etc. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks and reports. Ability to perform essential physical requirements which include standing and/or walking for extended periods. Ability to perform required tasks during periods of inclement weather. Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance/uniform and report for duty on time.
