Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Operator for our client close to Newport News, VA. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to produce precision components. This is a great opportunity to join a leading manufacturer while building your long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drills

• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise tolerances

• Perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools

• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues

• Maintain safe and clean work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience

• Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM and basic CNC programming is a plus

• Must pass standard pre-employment screenings

• PPE such as steel-toe boots may be required

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 1st Shift

• Pay: $25.00 – $35.00/hr (based on experience; overtime available)
