Job Title: Technical Advisor (Navy SURTASS)
Description Summary: SURTASS provides an on-demand, mobile, and active/passive maritime surveillance capability in support of Joint and Naval Task Force commanders via towed acoustic sensor systems. The ships and installed SURTASS mission equipment are designed for extended duration and independent operations in remote geographic areas. Thus, self-sufficiency in operations and maintenance is an important mission objective. It is intended that operations and maintenance be performed on board vessels and in depot maintenance facilities with the objective of maximizing operational readiness.
This position is for a future opportunity that is expected to be awarded in June 2026.

Education: Associate Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Technology, or be a graduate of US Navy electronics āCā school or equivalent civilian electronics technical school (Curriculum: maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of VME computers, digital computers, microprocessors or peripheral/interface equipment, networks, communications system, navigation system and/or sonar system).
Desired Professional Experience:
Required Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Sec+ CE, Other)
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI)
Compensation and Benefits: The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This range is not a guarantee and may vary based on experience, location, and contractual requirements. Additional details: Scheduled weekly hours are 40; Telecommuting options are Onsite; Additional work locations may apply.
