As the Vice President of Information Technologies, you play a key role in providing strategic planning and leadership for developing, implementing and maintaining information technology initiatives across the organization. The VP will oversee all aspects of the IT department, including infrastructure, applications, data management and support services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the overall tactical operations of the IT department to ensure users' needs are met and data is processed according to company requirements
  • Develop and implement IT policies and long-term technology strategies that support the overall business needs/goals.
  • Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of DHA's IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Advocates for the organization's IT vision via regular communications with the organization's executives, division and department heads, and end users
  • Directs continuous improvement of the information systems staff, equipment, and procedures to maintain pace with technological progress, economic change and business needs.
  • Establishes the strategic direction of the company's information systems (IS); executes this strategy in collaboration with company leadership.
  • Directs and coordinates professional services such as systems analysis and design, feasibility studies, and programming of information, communication, and office automation systems.
  • Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
  • Approves the purchase, rent, lease, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs.
  • Monitors and reports progress on development projects, resource utilization, and production performance to executive leadership.
  • Ensures the integrity and reliability of computerized information systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored.
  • Facilitates preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, IS requirements, and analytical and programming staffing requirements for proposed systems.
  • Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of IS staff, equipment, and procedures.
  • Prepares, implements, and executes IT budget.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management and professional-level staff in the department.
  • Oversees the schedules and responsibilities of management-level staff in the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance feedback.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, or Computer Science
  • Ten (10) years experience in a technical role.
  • Or equivalent combination of education or experience
