Now Hiring: Maintenance Pipe Welder

Location: Newport News, VA

Wages: Up to $38.00/Hr.

Per Diem $120.00 offered if eligible

Experience: Minimum of five years maintenance/commercial/naval experience

Required Skills:

1. Multi-pass. All position fillet and butt welds using the SMAW (Shielded metal arc) process

2. Ability to mirror weld using the SMAW and GTAW processes

3. Experience working in physically demanding environments (ditches, trenches, ladders, staging, etc.). 4. Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry.

5. Heating - Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch 6. Ability to properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and a six-inch scale

Welding Qualifications:

1. All positions using the SMAW and GTAW processes

2. Thin wall sockets (Required for below 0.187 wall joints)

Must be able to work any shift and overtime, if required. Must be flexible

Must successfully pass a background & hair follicle drug test
