Hiring Ranges:
Electrician I -- $16.68 - $21.95
Electrician II -- $17.43 - $23.42
Electrician III -- $20.34. -$26.37
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of power and lighting circuits, service equipment and troubleshooting.
- Maintains and installs lighting fixtures, raceways, electrical devices and overcurrent protection. Including clocks, fire alarms and security systems.
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code and National Fire and Protection Codes.
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems and inspections. Coordinates work with contractors as required
- Available for emergencies and coordinates with school security and local law enforcement for security prevention and investigations and scheduled or emergency power outages.
- Other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Journeyman electrical license preferred.
- Apprenticeship and/or documented technical training .
- Not less than five years experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of tools or the trade, utilizing meters, bending conduit, wiring methods and operating aerial equipment.
- Knowledge of security and fire systems.
- Requires a valid Driver's License.
