Position: Deputy Sheriff Starting Salary: $43,260

Increase to $47,073 upon graduation from Basic Academy w/ $5,000 signing incentive

* Honor Guard Pay, $600

Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years of age.

* Must have a valid Virginia or North Carolina Driver's License

* Must have Social Security Card

* Must have Original Birth Certificate

* Former military must have an original DD-214
