Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented. Serves, demonstrates, intercepts consumers, and sells products in a professional manner. Responsible for the event execution equipment in stores. Maintains a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and security.
• Communicate with store management about upcoming and past events when Supervisor is absent.
• Serve as the point person for all store events in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Assist the Supervisor and provide leadership and knowledge to the team.
• Gain adequate product knowledge and proactively engage with consumers to sell products.
• Assist with all responsibilities related to the demo program, including food safety and setup.
• Maintain a clean and safe work station.
• Complete all assigned work and assist with client visits and audits.
• Build rapport with store personnel and complete expense reports and online requirements promptly.
• Document event success with digital photos.

This role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, but this may change based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience.
• Proficient in using computers and mobile devices.
• Food Safety Professional Certification and local food handler permits if required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50), and perform food prep using utensils and appliances.
• Point of contact when Supervisor is absent.
• Work in a retail environment with limited travel.
• Maintain a professional appearance and grooming.
• English language skills; bilingual skills may be required.
