Loader Operator

Position Overview: The Loader Operator will support earthmoving and material handling operations across marine and land-based construction zones. This role is critical to maintaining efficient site logistics and supporting excavation, grading, and concrete placement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate front-end loaders to move earth, aggregate, and construction materials
• Load trucks, conveyors, and hoppers with precision and safety
• Assist in site preparation, grading, and backfilling operations
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Work in coordination with site supervisors and other equipment operators
• Maintain awareness of surroundings, including tight spaces and active structures
• Adhere to all safety protocols and VDOT regulations

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating front-end loaders in heavy civil or marine construction
• Familiarity with attachments such as forks, buckets, and grapples
• Ability to work in variable terrain and weather conditions
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended shifts
