Working within their defined skill sets, the technologist is flexible in the work assignments, rotates between all cardiovascular specialties (cardiac cath, interventional radiology, neuro intervention, and the OR hybrid suite) takes call on a rotating basis for RRMC, and assists with team training. Able to assume the responsibility for designated procedures, as assigned, with the initiative to apply ALARA standards as it aligns to their specialty Scope of Care and coordinates procedure specific patient care based on the age, physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity needs of the patient. **What you will do** * Consistently demonstrates ability to complete all paperwork/computer based documentation associated with procedures according to department policies.* Records, circulates, and scrubs for diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.* Performs a variety of specialized and complex invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures.* Demonstrates accountability for environment of care and ensures availability of necessary resources to provide positive work flow and efficient daily operations.* Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks to facilitate quality patient care and ensure all patient care needs are met. Demonstrates the ability to assess patient needs throughout procedure; recognizes and responds to emergency situations.* Demonstrates organization of work, knowledge of process/procedure for applicable modality(s) and performs independently without close supervision. Performs as Lead Tech for specific modality(s).* Accurately verifies and performs all aspects of procedures tracking to include correct facility/room, bill only application, account verification.* Collaborates with physicians to provide for the specialized needs of patients. Recognizes and responds to variances of patient care/ condition and appropriately notifies physician and team. Provides timely follow-up regarding requests and concerns utilizing SBAR process when applicable.* Participates positively by taking ownership in training and support of all team members and students as needed.* Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. **Qualifications** **Education** * Program Graduate, Radiologic Technology or Related Field (Required) or* Program Graduate, Nursing (Required) and* High School Diploma or GED, Only Required if Nursing Diploma Graduate (Required) **Experience** * 5-6 years Experience in Interventional Procedures (Required)* 5-6 years Able to scrub, monitor and/or circulate in 3 or more modalities: cardiac Cath, interventional, neurological or eletrophysiology procedures.
