Position Summary

Conduct Compensation and Pension exams for Veterans Administrations vendors. Perform history and physical exams to assess veterans' disabilities, ensuring timely evaluations in accordance with VA regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Greet veterans and introduce yourself prior to examinations.
• Complete history and physical assessments.
• Provide medical opinions when requested.
• Track pending charts and submit in a timely manner.
• Review medical history, gather information, and perform exams using Disability Questionnaires.
• Order ancillary tests as needed.
• Complete required trainings before deadlines.

Work Environment

Healthcare setting with contact with potentially contagious patients.

Physical Demands

Occasional movement within the office, such as accessing files or office equipment.

Requirements

• Masters or Doctorate in Nursing or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Medical School.
• Valid state license and current certification (AANP/ANCC/NCCPA).
• BLS certification.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer knowledge.
• Minimum one year of experience preferred; strong new graduates considered.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position is entry level, full-time, in healthcare.
