Overview: SimVentions is seeking an experienced professional to join our dynamic team! As an Offensive Cybersecurity Tool Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced security tools to support Red Team and penetration testing engagements. Collaborating with Blue Team and Cybersecurity experts, your work will significantly enhance overall cyber posture.

**This position is contingent upon the award of a contract, anticipated in December of 2025.**

Clearance: An ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance (IT Level I Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) is required. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for classified information access. US Citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.

Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
• Must possess one or more of the following DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications: CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND.
• Must have Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification.
• Must hold one or more of the following: GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN), Offensive Security Exploit Developer (OSED).

Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and leverage offensive security tools such as Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, and Cobalt Strike.
• Mimic threat actor behavior using tactics, techniques, and procedures aligned with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
• Conduct assessments across various operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Perform exploit development and analyze zero-day or previously unknown vulnerabilities.
• Identify and address gaps in existing offensive tools and development techniques.
• Utilize at least two scripting or programming languages (Python, C++, Java, Rust, Assembly, C#, etc.) for exploit development.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Red Team or Penetration Test engagements with a focus on exploit and tool development.
• Five (5) years of experience developing in at least 3 scripting or programming languages.
• Five (5) years of experience identifying gaps in tools and techniques.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. National Security Agency Computer Network Operations Development Program (CNODP) Graduate is desirable.

Compensation: At SimVentions, compensation is based on various factors, including experience, education, training, security clearance, skills, and alignment with our corporate plan. The projected annual compensation range for this role is $80,000-$140,000 (USD), reflecting industry standards and encompassing the total compensation package.
