Indel Power Group has an opening for an Assistant Credit Manager at our corporate office in Portsmouth, Virginia. Key Responsibilities
  • Credit Analysis
  • Review new credit applications and supporting documentation to assess customer creditworthiness based on financial statements, credit reports, and payment history.
  • Assign appropriate credit limits to new and existing customers based on risk assessment.
  • Monitor customer account activity, including payment patterns and outstanding balances, to identify potential credit issues.
  • Collections Management
  • Contact customers with overdue accounts to initiate collections efforts, including phone calls, emails, and letters.
  • Work with the collections team to resolve outstanding debt and minimize bad debt losses.
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers experiencing financial difficulties.
  • Reporting And Data Analysis
  • Generate regular reports on credit metrics such as aging receivables, bad debt percentages, and credit utilization.
  • Analyze credit data to identify trends and potential areas of risk.
  • Prepare presentations for management regarding credit performance and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance And Policy Adherence
  • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and procedures when evaluating credit applications and managing customer accounts.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and credit reporting guidelines.
  • Customer Interaction
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding credit terms and account status.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to address credit concerns and facilitate new customer onboarding.
Required Skills And Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial statement analysis and credit reporting
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage customer interactions during collections
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting
