A global manufacturer with a long-standing presence in Chesapeake, Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to support its production facility specializing in metal composite materials used in architectural and structural applications. The site is part of a larger international organization known for its expertise in advanced materials, chemical technologies, and engineered solutions across industries such as construction, automotive, and electronics. The Chesapeake facility produces aluminum-based panels used in building facades and signage, and is recognized for its high standards in safety, quality, and innovation. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee daily maintenance operations, support equipment reliability, enforce safety protocols, and lead a team of technicians in a fast-paced, high-performance manufacturing environment.

The Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities include:

  • Schedule and manage maintenance tasks using CMMS software, ensuring timely execution of preventative maintenance and minimal equipment downtime.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and perform root cause analysis on equipment failures, recommending solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support engineering projects, including design reviews and implementation of capital improvements.
  • Supervise and coach technicians, promoting safe work practices, adherence to procedures, and professional development.
  • Coordinate contractors and oversee facility repairs, while identifying opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs.

The Maintenance Supervisor should have the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; engineering degree preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Effective communicator and team leader with strong organizational, training, and safety-focused skills, committed to process improvement and team development.
