CTR Group is seeking a Pipefitter local to the Norfolk, VA area. Immediate openings and urgently hiring! Basic knowledge of hand tools and testing equipment. Work a job with general supervision and to be able to complete small tasks. Knowledge of various testing and obstructed flows. Knowledge of installing various pipe hangers (Type 1 and Type 2). Torch safety. Basic blanking and tagging knowledge. Basic knowledge of ship design and layout. Familiarity with WA - Fs. RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:Read and interpret blueprints/sketches and install all piping systems aboard ship. Perform shop prefab on piping systems using sketches/templates developed from blue prints and ship check.
