The Department of Physics at Old Dominion University invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Physics to begin in Fall 2026. This is a 10-month tenure track appointment. Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include: Teach physics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, consistent with the academic programs of the department; Join the existing Experimental Nuclear Physics Group, which leads many aspects of the Jefferson Lab research program and is planning for the future Electron Ion Collider; Lead a research program in Experimental Nuclear Physics and seek new external funding.
