Certified Welding Inspector Or Nondestructive Testing Technician

What You Get To Do

As a Certified Welding Inspector or Nondestructive Testing Technician you will:

• Performs maintenance on rides and attractions.
• Responsible for all ride inspections requiring Non Destructive Testing.
• Have the ability to perform as a team member in a job specific tasks.
• Ability to complete tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park guidelines.

What It Takes To Succeed

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preference for skill set such as NDT Technician or CWI
• ASNT SNT-TC-1A Requirements for Mag Particle and Dye Penetrant
• AWS QCI Requirements for all work under AWS (American Welding Society)
• Valid local driver's license
• Familiar with all aspects of AWS procedures and requirements.
• Knowledgeable of all procedures involved with Non Destructive Testing
• Able to pass all tests offered for CWI or NDT Level 11.
• Knowledgeable of all procedures used with Magnetic particle inspections
• Knowledgeable of all procedures used with Dye Penetrant inspections
• Self-motivator with good initiative and flexibility. Should be able to organize and plan daily workload with little supervision and possess good communication skills
• Should possess good interpersonal skills and communicative abilities
• Able to work well as a team player and interact well within a group
• Perform inspections of all attractions
• Have proven ability to plan and organize daily task and work schedules.
• Keep working areas neat, clean, and tidy.
• This position requires dependable performance in terms of attendance, performance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements.
• Nonessential skills and experience: Cross training in other maintenance trades.

• This position requires dependable performance in terms of attendance, performance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements.
• General knowledge of gases and their safe application
• Comfortable working in a man lift
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and weld symbol
• Assist and/or train junior welders and help other areas of production as needed

• This position is physically demanding.
• Requires full mobility including ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, climb, push, pull, bend, and squat.
• Able to lift items 50 pounds, or more with the assistance of others, safely
• Able to stand on ladders for long periods of time
• Able to climb up various heights (200+ feet) on all types of ladders to reach rooftops, Sky Tower, etc
• Indoors at work bench
• Outdoors, year round, in most weather conditions.
