Project Manager, Washington, DC/Remote

Our client, located in Washington, DC, is seeking a Project Manager for a remote, direct hire opportunity.

Please note: This role is currently remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic but is likely to be on-site in the future. Some flexibility may be available.

Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic Project Manager who will serve as the primary customer point of contact for assigned projects and act as the liaison between their customer and engineering team. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and track project plans and provide progress reports.
  • Manage project schedules and all contract deliverables.
  • Manage multiple technical workstreams.
  • Attend client meetings and maintain regular communication with clients.
  • Gather technical requirements and represent the company's technical interests.
  • Participate in business analysis and system design activities.
  • Prepare project budgets and track resources against forecasts.
  • Coordinate with prime contractors on projects where Amida is a subcontractor.
  • Monitor industry trends related to project management and implement best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project management experience, including projects within the Federal government. Experience with Veteran's Administration (VA) is preferred.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience managing projects related to government systems, including healthcare data.
  • Well-versed in SDLC and project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing project costs, budgets, risks, and providing oversight for large government system implementations.
  • Proficient in communicating with senior management, stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Experience managing large scope projects involving multiple complex tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector within Commercial or State and Local government.
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Dependable team player with collaborative work style.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (including Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and JIRA.
