You will serve as an Electrician Leader in the Production Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Responsibilities include serving as a working leader over at least three trades and crafts employees. You will follow schematics to install or hook up electrical equipment on multiphase circuits. You will arrange or install electrical devices (e.g., gauges, wire, conduit, couplings, fittings, relays, boxes, circuit breakers) in compliance with safe operation of electrical systems and equipment. You will test electrical systems and components to determine the need for repairs and preventative maintenance. You will operate power tools (e.g., pipe benders, cutters, power drills) to cut, bend, fit, and thread components of electrical equipment and systems.
Requirements include the ability to lead or supervise by installing a variety of electrical systems, working from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and/or engineering drawing to lay out the placement of electrical lines, circuits, and controls, using a variety of test equipment, and conducting tests on electrical systems to determine repairs needed.
