Position Summary
Perform data acquisition, cost modeling, KPI Analysis and development of analytical tools to support vendor engagement activities. Actively lead optimization efforts and pursue best practices for digitization and data management. Responsible for maintaining network data structure in relevant TMS to ensure accurate routings, and costs to minimize discrepancies. Supports global procurement policies and systems implementation and long-term use.
Functions & Duties
• Perform detailed analytics using cost and volume data to drive cost leadership. Prepare reference material and cost impact analysis required for development of vendor strategies, vendor service reviews and negotiations.
• Actively participate in phone, email and in-person communication with internal customers and external service providers. This communication must be timely and professional with intent to build strong working relationships.
• Engage with various internal departments to ensure common efforts to address issues and promote lowest possible cost and best service. These departments include, but are not limited to Sourcing, Cost Control, Port Operations, Logistics, Trade, and Sales.
• Lead efforts in data collection and analysis to ensure accurate, timely and efficient data records. Research areas for improvement and promote digitization of data efforts to drive efficiency. Through data visibility, ensure contract terms, volume commitments, incentives and expirations are monitored and leveraged for CMA Group benefit.
• Promote cost savings initiatives and keep supporting measurements. Prepare reports for management.
• Work closely with Marseille entities, Sourcing, and others to promote compliance to global procedures. This includes support of new system implementation and procedures, as well as QW11, TMS, BvD, C-MONA, etc.
• Maintain Network data structure in relevant TMS as required to maintain accurate routings and costs and to minimize TO/Invoice discrepancies.

• General understanding of terminology related to Terminal, Port, and Intermodal Operations.

• Strong written language skills
• Confident presentation of self for in-person and virtual meetings and external discussions
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access software preferred.
• Experience using QlikSense, Quickbase or similar data management Apps desirable.
• Require self-driven individual who can work unsupervised for portions of a day or week.
• Must have ability to shift quickly from topic to topic and work with team members to prioritize work based on deadlines and level of urgency.
• Must be able to investigate and analyze an issue to facilitate decisions and t course of action.
