Data Architect

Titan Technologies, LLC (Titan) is seeking an experienced, self-directed Data Architect to support the Army Data and Analytics Platform contract in Newport News, VA. As a member of our team, you will assist the Army with program/product management, administration, financial, technical, and business transformation. This position is located in Newport News, VA.

The Data Architect designs and builds databases for data storage or processing. Develops strategies for data warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery. Builds data models, defines data elements' structure, attributes, and nomenclature. Evaluates new data sources for quality standards and integration ease. The Senior Data Architect leads the design and implementation of data architecture solutions for the Army Training Information System (ATIS), creating robust data models, managing data integration, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

Duties & Responsibilities :

1. Develop logical and physical data models to support ATIS objectives.
2. Design data solutions for warehousing, ETL processes, and real-time analytics.
3. Oversee data integration between ATIS and other Army systems.
4. Implement metadata management and data cataloging tools.
5. Ensure data solutions comply with DoD and RMF standards.
6. Implement encryption, masking, and access controls to secure sensitive data.
7. Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and reduce costs.
8. Monitor data pipelines and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or similar.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, integration, and modeling.
• AWS Certified: Data Analytics or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools. Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS or Azure).

Preferred :

• Master's degree in a related field.

Clearance : Applicants must undergo a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret Clearance is required.
