Under limited supervision, assists with the operation and maintenance of parks and other outdoor facilities including shelter care, event support and landscape maintenance and facility cleanliness. Reports to the Recreation Supervisor. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Performs and assists with the supervision of daily work assignments for staff including, but not limited to ensuring and maintaining cleanliness throughout the park by cleaning and preparing shelters for reservations, dumping trash receptacles, picking up litter throughout the park to include shelters, playgrounds, pavilion area, Friendship Gardens, and the display room. Ensures that the train has sufficient gasoline to operate. Responds orally to on-site and telephone inquiries from the public to ensure that quality customer service is maintained at all times.
