Serves as a highly visible, energetic leader and champion for patient and resident safety throughout all divisions of the organization. Responsible for oversight of the safety event reporting system, assures optimization of the system, compliance with data submission requirements for the Patient Safety Organization, and oversight of the modules that include safety event reporting, patient feedback, RCA, Peer Review, Mortality Review, and Covid Central exposure. Additionally is responsible for the ongoing design, development, and implementation of the organization's safety program, education and training materials. Promotes systems thinking and high reliability for recommended evidence-based safety behaviors and practices assuring a focus on people, process, and technology to improve performance.
