Job Summary
The chief objective of the Program Manager for the Computer Science Lab School is to serve as the ODU liaison on site at the lab school; develop and coordinate recruitment, community outreach, and sustainability efforts; and coordinate and support computationally rich learning by supporting the mission and vision of the Computer Science Lab School ( CSLS ), under the supervision of the Executive Director for the Center for Educational Innovation and Opportunity.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in education, business, or related area; or a bachelor's degree in education, business, or related field with experience equivalent to a master's degree.
Working experience with event planning, project management, and collaboration with effective team building experience is essential
Working knowledge of laboratory schools.
Working knowledge of and experience with K-12 schools and system.
Working knowledge of and experience with Computer Science education.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in brand development and creative program development.
Proficiency working in a virtual space, including some experience with online collaboration tools.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of higher education
Valid Virginia teaching license
Middle school, middle school science or middle school CTE endorsement or an advanced degree in CS/ STEM education or a related field
Considerable experience as a teacher
A computer science background and/or experience integrating computer science in K-8 school settings
Considerable experience with designing and implementing project-based learning and/or design thinking in middle school settings
Considerable experience providing professional learning experiences around computer science integration with K-8 teachers
Considerable experience providing professional learning experiences around design thinking integration with K-8 teachers
Willingness and eagerness to learn and grow individually and as part of the lab school team
