Description:

Duties

  • You will serve as an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR in the EXECUTIVE DIRECTORATE (N02) of COMNAVSURFLANT in Norfolk, Virginia.
  • You will serve as the Executive Director to the Commander, acting as a principal advisor, subject matter, and technical expert to assign and integrate products across the staff, Surface Forces (SURFOR), or across multiple organizations.
  • You will oversee and ensure unity of the command's high visibility, dynamic, and diverse business and planning programs, functions, and processes to develop a cohesive command strategy.
  • You will provide administrative oversight and collaborate with the command (Assistant Chief of Staff) ACOS in planning and executing financial processes, human resources management, corporate information management, and business planning.
  • You will serve as the Chairman of the command's Civilian Position Management Board (CPMB) and lead the recruitment, employment, and release of civilian personnel, development of the civilian hiring plan, and management of the command's FTE accounts.
  • You will work closely with other CNSL leaders to assess mission and work requirements, develop plans, goals, and objectives, and coordinate the execution of the Directorates' processes.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be expected to accept emergency assignments beyond those specified and work overtime as necessary, with limited scheduling flexibility.
  • You must perform duties at various job sites within the commuting area.
  • You will need to transport yourself between sites in the local area, with reimbursement per Joint Travel Regulations.
  • This position may require travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including remote sites, and extended periods on military and commercial aircraft.
