Industrial Electrician

We are seeking an Industrial Electrician to work in a cold storage facility. This role involves working with 490 V, 120vAC, and 24vDC electricity. Intermediate experience is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with 490 V, 120vAC, and 24vDC electricity.
• Troubleshoot and replace drives.
• Diagnose and repair switches, proxes, and photoeyes.
• Read and interpret wiring schematics and blueprints.
• Perform conduit bending and electrical repairs.

Essential skills:

• Experience with 480 V, 120vAC, and 24vDC electricity.
• Basic knowledge of HMI systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical components such as drives, switches, and proxes.
• Ability to read schematics and perform conduit work.

Additional skills and qualifications:

• Solid work tenure in industrial electrical roles.
• Experience in troubleshooting photoeyes and basic HMI operations.
• Ability to learn new skills related to electrical systems and components.

Work environment:

The work environment is within a cold storage facility where employees work near fish, shellfish, and other common allergens. The role is primarily day shift, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work.

This is a contract position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits available for this temporary role may include:
