GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Stock Associate plays a vital role in creating a positive shopping atmosphere for our Customers. With a courteous smile and friendly greetings, Associates are expected to assist Customers, respect fellow team members, and adhere to best practices to maintain a tidy and inviting store.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prioritizes safety above all and practices safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintains a vigilant awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
• Treats Customers and Associates with respect, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
• Greets Customers warmly and provides assistance with merchandise and inquiries.
• Responds promptly to Customer Service calls and resolves issues with a positive attitude.
• Promotes the Company brand and represents its values consistently.
• Engages in thorough cleaning duties to maintain a pristine shopping environment.
• Follows the Company dress code and maintains a professional appearance.
• Executes daily recovery tasks to ensure a neat and organized sales floor.
• Efficiently processes new merchandise to the sales floor in line with company guidelines.
• Understands and implements loss prevention strategies and the importance of safeguarding merchandise.
• Adheres to all cash handling policies with integrity and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates urgency in their responsibilities to maximize productivity and enhance workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Effective communication skills are necessary for engagement with Customers and team members. Basic mathematical skills relevant to retail operations are also required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

• Ability to use store equipment like PDTs and registers.
• Capability to spend most of the workday on your feet, walking around the store.
• Regularly bending, squatting, kneeling, carrying, reaching, and stooping is necessary.
• Occasional lifting of items over 25 pounds may be required.
• Familiarity with janitorial tools and rolling racks is necessary for specific tasks.
• Stockroom shifts may require the ability to lift more than 20 pounds regularly.
