Help keep Hampton's parks and public spaces safe and beautiful! The City of Hampton's Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services Department is seeking a Tree Trimmer to perform skilled work in pruning, felling, and removing trees throughout the city. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the health of our urban forest and ensuring the safety of residents and visitors in our community spaces.

Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) years of full-time equivalent experience in tree maintenance and/or grounds maintenance to include some experience or on the job training in the operation of related equipment and tools or closely related experience.
- High school graduation or GED preferred.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria.
- Must possess a valid Virginia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or may possess a Commercial Driver's License instruction permit upon application and obtain the CDL within 90 days of employment.
- This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City's current substance abuse policy.
- Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion.
