Maintaining and tracking material and part requirements to ensure continued support of deployed systems and/or products
Maintaining material database
Maintaining inventory required by engineering drawings
Coordinating with production for restocking of any unused material
Providing information for the tracking and storage of government furnished equipment
Providing status accounting to the customer and assures that material is on hand prior to work being accomplished
Performing a variety of routine and/or low dollar value buying/purchasing tasks involving materials, supplies, or services
Reviewing purchase requisitions, and places orders with approved suppliers
Coordinating with the Accounting department as required to resolve questions on suppliers' invoices
Reporting any discrepancies
Performing monthly cycle counts
Assisting production personnel when requested on the ship when logistical duties allow
Working within a shipyard environment that consists of loud noises, fumes, and high/low temperatures
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when working within designated areas in various weather conditions
Filing and maintaining all supply support documents
Maintaining inventory tracking via database and Excel spreadsheet
Responsible for shipping material to final destination
Employment is contingent upon receiving access to Newport News Shipbuilding shipyard by HII

Requirements
Organizational skills
Knowledge of inventory control
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, walk long distances, climb inclines, ladders and stairs, and push/pull pallet jacks and/or rolling carts
Experience with Shipping and Receiving processes
Experience with performing Cycle Counts
Experience with Data Entry
Experience with ship installation or interpreting ship electrical drawings to pull needed materials
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word)
Desired Skills
Must demonstrate experience in Microsoft Excel to develop, modify, and use spreadsheets to manage and track the storage and transfer of equipment and materials
Effective time management
Ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to receive material and place into Conex Box in optimal storage locations for accessibility
Experience with C4I systems or combat systems
Experience with shipyard logistics and processes
Experience in Navy logistics
Experience with MRP or ERP process' or applications
Experience analyzing engineering/systems management data

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
