Works under the supervision of the Hospital Administrator/ VP and RHS System Director of Laboratory Services. Responsible for organizing, planning, directing and evaluating services provided by the outreach, point of care, compliance and/or technical departments. Provides leadership and mentorship/support to the staff needs of the department, including management of day-to-day disciplinary requirements of staff, to include documentation for personnel files. As a clinical expert ensures the provision of competent services by validating staff competency in accordance with standards of excellence, age specific and cultural sensitivity established by the facility goals and strategic plans. In conjunction with the Medical Director and the System Director, director assures compliance with regulatory agencies and undertake special projects as identified.
