Summary/Objective
The Branch/Regional Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for first-time quality of production work as well as ensuring production personnel conform to local and government procedures and specifications. Will report directly to the Corporate Quality Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Manage Quality Management System for the branch.
•Oversight of local Quality Assurance Technicians/NDT Technicians.
•Ensuring that Production and QA personnel are working to standards and drawings.
•Develop and maintain Process Control Procedures (PCPs)
•Review and maintain test and inspection plans (TIPs)
•Oversight of Quality Plans, Inspections and Test Reports for multiple jobs.
•Calling out Government Checkpoints
•Ensuring verification and documentation of all work (including checkpoints) is being completed toapplicable codes, standards, drawing and specifications.
•Scheduling, Performing, and Reporting Quality Surveillances of in-process work to determine ifspecifications are met and ensure conformance to established company and regulatory standards.
•Assign personnel and help perform internal audits
•Review, analyze and report to Corporate Quality Manager on quality discrepancies and data related toproduction.
•Manage Branch Corrective Action program. Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, processoptimization and modification(s).
•Schedule oversight for sub-contract inspection personnel (when applicable), and ensure technicalaccuracy of work being performed, to include reviewing inspection procedures being used on site.
•Interface with Planners, Estimators, Project Management, Production Personnel, ABS Surveyors andstakeholders to ensure requirements are being met.
•Will need to attend meetings with customers or customer representatives, and/or travel for specialprojects.
•Duties and Responsibilities are subject to change at the discretion of the Corporate Quality Manager.
•Maintain familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, NAVSEA Standard Items and General TechnicalRequirements.
Required Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma, GED at minimum
• At least 5 years of experience aboard Naval Vessels or MSC Ships
• Lean/Six Sigma Certification a plus
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Must be able to use a computer, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to obtain DBIDS for access to USN/DoD Facilities
• Ability to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Must be able to read drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with welding and NDT is a plus.
Work Environment
• Industrial conditions such as noise, extreme temperatures, confined spaces, as well as sometimes in an office environment.
• May require working aloft or over the side of a vessel.
• Will be required to perform regular visits aboard vessels and rigs (both on and offshore).
• May require standing for long periods of time on a variety of surfaces and on uneven surfaces, bending over, crouching, laying down, climbing on ladders and scaffolding, and tight spaces.
• Some travel is required (25%).

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or what the schedule deems appropriate. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
