Our client, a leading player in the government and defense sector, is seeking a Senior Recruiterto support high-impact engineering and skilled trade positions. This is a high-visibility role within a collaborative and performance-driven Talent Acquisition team. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies in partnership with hiring managers and HR teams.
Identify, engage, and build relationships with passive candidates through creative outreach.
Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
Leverage ATS/CRM systems and external databases to build and maintain strong talent pipelines.
Deliver engaging and personalized communication to potential candidates to drive interest.
Promote the employer brand through thoughtful candidate experience and external messaging.
Partner with HR colleagues on compensation, onboarding, compliance, and DEI initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of recruiting experience, preferably supporting engineering or skilled trade roles.
Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (Kenexa/Brass Ring or similar), job boards, and social platforms.
Strong working knowledge of OFCCP compliance and federal contracting recruiting standards.
Demonstrated ability to create and execute tailored recruiting plans.
Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring strategies.
Industry experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, or related technical trades is a plus.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
