Join a dynamic and forward-thinking company specializing in humanitarian relief! We are looking for a motivated and skilled Business Development Manager to expand our footprint in government-backed supply chains.

Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in identifying and securing opportunities within government supply chains, both in the US and internationally, including partnerships with NGOs. This role is perfect for someone experienced in navigating governmental procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Build and nurture relationships with government-backed supply chains, including US and non-US governmental agencies and their NGOs.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and reach out to government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations to establish potential supply chain partnerships.
  • Government Procurement: Create and implement strategies to pursue various government contracts effectively.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain robust relationships with key decision-makers in governmental organizations and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Bid Management: Prepare, submit proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to government regulations.
  • Market Research: Stay ahead of market trends by conducting thorough research on upcoming government projects and new opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of government-backed supply chain projects.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance, track lead progress, and provide detailed reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development focused on government-backed supply chains and procurement.
  • In-depth understanding of governmental purchasing processes, including US and international tendering.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Relations, or related fields.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with US Government entities (e.g., GSA, DLA) and international procurement systems.
  • Familiarity with non-US government supply chains.
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian aid sector and experience with NGOs.
  • Understanding of import/export regulations.
