We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Construction Services team in our Newport News location to support major transportation projects during the construction phase . This role is for an ambitious professional looking for the opportunity to grow and make a significant impact in the field of transportation infrastructure. This position will be on the project site in Hampton, VA on a full-time basis.Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with VDOT and federal regulations, safety, and quality in all aspects of project execution.Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, plans, as-builts, permits, and other relevant records.Collaborate effectively with various teams, including inspectors, project managers, etc.Prepare reports, maintain logs, and provide updates regarding document management and project status.Support contract administration by maintaining records, tracking payments, and ensuring adherence to contract terms.Monitor and document construction activities, tracking progress, addressing issues, and coordinating inspections as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.3+ years of experience in transportation construction projects, preferably in VA.Familiarity with AASHTO, VDOT and regional design standards, practices and policies.Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills.Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office suite and construction management software.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $63,000 to $90,900 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
