Works under the supervision of Sterile Processing leadership. Is responsible for all aspects of instrument preparation, sterilization procedures, and providing optimum care to all patients. This role is expected to float among other RHS facilities and perform like competencies of their primary role. What you will do. Demonstrates ability to discuss and apply decontaminations and sterilization process that meets AORN, AMMI, ISSHAM, and CDC standards. (i.e. , room turnover and cleaning, trash/remove line and instrument cleaning.). Demonstrates the ability to provide a safe, efficient and supportive environment for the patient. Uses appropriate protective equipment, body mechanics, and follows safety guidelines and procedures; identifies and acts to resolve any variance or suspected noncompliance to management.
